Where? Ticino – Andermatt 5 rides over 6 days

Notable climbs: Aple di Neggia, Tremola San Gottard, Furka, Nufenen Pass

Why? Switzerland isn’t as obvious as the Alps, Dolomites or Pyrenees but it should be. San Gottard, Furka and Nufenen. Imagine taking three of the best roads in Europe and building them into one route, no need it’s been done already for you here. Our trip starts in the Italian speaking canton of Ticino, specifically Locarno which is set on the North shore of Lake Maggiore. Our rides take us into the foothills of the Alps, Alpe di Neggia, the best descent you’ve never heard of, 10 km of sumptuous switchbacks. The food and culture have a distinctly Italian flavour. We then ride to Andermatt in the canton of Uri and take on the best that the Swiss Alps have to offer.

This trip runs with a minimum of six riders.

All accommodation on a half board basis. Sommet will look after everything to do with the ride – guiding and riding with you, as well as taking care of your bike. Price based on shared rooms; a supplement of £400.00 is payable for single occupancy. Our professional soigneur will take care of your daily aches and pains with two free massages during the trip. Paolo Mariani

Sommet Cycling holidays are the best I’ve experienced. Nick is a fantastic guide with so much knowledge in all aspects of cycling.

His knowledge is  unparalleled and always took us on beautifully serene roads where we never had to worry about traffic and could just enjoy the simple pleasure of cycling.

The organisation was tip top with Nick, timing everything to perfection from flights, transfers to breaks on the climbs

See what other guests think.
